A litre rating is a useful starting point, but it does not tell a distributor whether an LED ice bucket suits a particular bottle-service setup. Bottle shape, ice space, access to the controls and shipping dimensions all affect the choice.
Before placing a bulk order, agree on a physical reference and a repeatable sample check. The aim is to define a product your customers can select confidently, rather than relying on a capacity claim alone.
Start with the bottles your customers use
Record bottle height, maximum body diameter and the number of bottles expected in normal use. A standard-looking champagne bottle can occupy a different amount of usable space from a narrow wine bottle. Leave room for the intended ice load and for staff to lift a bottle without catching the rim.
Ask for usable internal dimensions as well as external dimensions. A thick wall, rounded base or lighting compartment can reduce the available space. Do not infer bottle capacity from the outside photograph.
Make the capacity description reproducible
For a sample review, photograph the bucket with the actual reference bottles and describe the ice arrangement. Keep that setup consistent when comparing models. If your catalogue states a bottle count, explain which bottle dimensions and loading arrangement support it.
| Detail to record | Why the buyer needs it |
|---|---|
| External dimensions | Table layout, storage and packaging |
| Usable internal dimensions | Bottle fit and practical loading |
| Reference bottle dimensions | A repeatable capacity comparison |
| Empty and loaded weight | Handling and service planning |
| Control and charging access | Everyday use and maintenance |
| Individual and master-carton dimensions | Freight planning and resale preparation |
Check lighting and service access separately
Confirm how the selected model is powered, where its controls sit and which lighting functions are included. Battery runtime, charging time and electrical ratings must come from the exact model documentation or an agreed test. They should not be inferred from a similar-looking bucket.
Check whether the base can be accessed during normal service. Agree on cleaning instructions and any restrictions around water exposure. A bucket being used around ice does not, by itself, establish a protection rating or permission to immerse its electronics.
Plan packing for wholesale distribution
A distributor may need individually protected units, retail-ready packaging or bulk protective packing. Specify the intended distribution route before comparing carton costs. Request unit quantity per carton, gross weight and the protection used around rims, handles and illuminated bases.
For rental fleets, also discuss repeated storage and transport. A proposed stacking or nesting arrangement should be demonstrated on the selected sample rather than assumed from a product silhouette.
Approve a reference sample before a repeat order
Record the model, finish, colour appearance, approved artwork if applicable, accessories and packing arrangement. Keep photos of the accepted sample and note which characteristics need checking in future deliveries. Agree on the inspection and replacement process in the quotation.
Request a focused quotation
Send YF-WIND the product link, reference bottle dimensions, intended quantity, destination country and required packing. Include branding artwork only if you want a customised version. MOQ, sample availability, customisation scope and delivery arrangements need confirmation for the selected order.
