An esports event can contain desk accents, a stage backdrop and camera-facing lighting. YF-WIND separates those roles in the project brief so a decorative effect is not mistaken for a complete event-lighting design. Define the required scenes and control relationships before selecting an assembly.
Decorative synchronization needs an agreed scope
Ask whether zones need to start together, display related scenes or follow a specific software integration. These are different requirements. A generic RGBIC strip does not establish support for Corsair iCUE, Razer Chroma, NZXT CAM or an event-control system.
| Requirement | What to compare | Acceptance evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Desk accent | Named positions and brightness behaviour | Zone brief |
| Backdrop | Geometry and scene layout | Visual map |
| Camera observation | Appearance under actual camera settings | Recorded prototype test |
| Control integration | Documented supported configuration | Integration approval |
A fictional tournament desk
For a desk with two team zones and a neutral centre section, define a steady presentation scene and a separate transition scene. Test them with the intended cameras and background content. Camera artifacts can depend on operating and capture conditions; do not promise flicker-free performance from a product category name.
Project worksheet example
SCENE 1: neutral presentation
SCENE 2: named team zones
TRANSITION: defined sequence
CAMERA TEST: actual project settings recorded
CONTROL: exact supported system to be reviewedMake the handoff useful to all teams
The lighting designer, broadcast team and equipment engineer may need different evidence. Keep the scene list, geometry and integration questions in one record. Confirm technical acceptance before ordering, and obtain current quotation terms separately. Do not assume that two devices displaying similar colours share a supported control ecosystem.
Prepare a specific YF-WIND enquiry
Send the item type, full component or assembly reference if selected, quantity and unit, destination country and target delivery requirement. Include the relevant customer-owned drawing and describe which questions still need engineering input. Distinguish an evaluation candidate from an approved production item; identify whether alternatives may be proposed for review.
